RansomDisney

March 2018

The Ransoms had never been to Disneyland so they asked to me to come along and help them get the most out of their visit.

On the way down we visited Valley of Fire state park in NevadaThe next day we did Huntington Beach during the day and Crystal Cove in the evening.

We spent Monday at Disneyland and Tuesday at California Adventure. I had the greatest time experiencing things “for the first time” again through their eyes. It was such a blast!

Splash mountain was closed so they didn’t get to ride that. 😦 and the pier was closed to build the new Pixar pier

This was the spinny vomit teacup
Julie and I maintained the mellow teacup 🙂
We had a great time at the Blue Bayou. Wonderful bread, amazing creme brûlée, and Nora loved the Mint “Jubilee” so much she loaded up her water bottle for later. 🙂

They loved Fantasmic!
I think this is my highest Midway Mania score ever. 🙂

I got First Visit buttons for them. 🙂

We had the greatest time in the Wilderness Explorer Park!

Incredible food at the Wine Country Trattoria.
Ken kept tripping on one particular bit of sidewalk so we were teasing him with this name
World of Color just blew them away…

I flew home because I couldn’t spare more time off work and they were planning another day in LA and then the drive home so I actually did some of a third day just on my own before my flight left. It was fun but I missed my new family.

Words to live by…

Pretty horrifying right?
Main Street was being worked on. Tickets were really cheap at this time. Kind of off-season with some closures.
Love the Food and Wine Festival at DCA. I don’t drink but I sure love to eat! :). Strawberry pie and garlic Mac and cheese

Found a great alternative to the huge hot fudge sundae. Plus nothing beats mint chocolate chip ice cream. My mom would be so proud. 🙂
